Newbie here ;-).....and Question about a disbudded weather

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. I'm a new owner of 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. Two are just babies, and one year and 1/2 doe. The joy they've brought to our family is amazing! I knew they'd have wonderful personalities, but never expected such affection and character. We just bought 15 acres in gorgeous Virginia about 6 months ago, and have been having a ball fixing up our new "zoo." I found this board because I was looking for information. My weather lost one of his horns, and is oozing what looks to be albumin. Got scared because there's actually a small hole in his head. Not knowing what to do, I cleaned him up, and covered the site with an antibiotic ointment, and covered it with gauze and surgical tape. I didn't know if this was normal because my little doe did the same thing but not as severe, and it healed up nicely.......then again, she didn't have a hole either. I've called the vet but got no answer yet. He's eating/drinking fine, but just looks tired. :( Stools are normal also. Is this normal? He was debudded about 3 months ago. Do the buds just fall off like that? Thanks for any information you can give. I've looked on every goat site, but have found nothing on the subject. Thanks, Audrey
