It was seven or eight years ago when I had a little doe that had to be dehorned, after a botched dehorning with the paste stuff. Her's was done by the vet and it went into the sinus cavity. It is freaky looking. I can't remember everything about that but it seems we wrapped it with cling gauze and then topped it with an ace wrap. I think that Maggie's idea sounds more modern, the vet wrap so it would probably work better, but the ace you might use until you got the other. I can not recall if the vet put her on an antibiotic or not. I know it healed quickly, as she didn't have the bandage forever. Good luck with your little guy and the other side may not do the same. She only had one side that was affected, so there is hope. Dalice
