I also had heard for years that a polled doe bred to a polled buck would give you hemaphrodites. And yes now the swiss breed folks are saying it isn't so. Makes you wonder if we were wrong all those years, or just didn't pay enough attention.
I actually bred to a polled Nubian years back, not wanting to disbud so much. As it is I have no does that are 3, 4 or 5 in my herd with my herd name!
Sounds like its time for an outcross! With 3 folks pitching in for a buck right now, and especially with Ron Kenner starting his haul right now, might not be to late to bring in a good one for this year! What breed we talking about? Vicki
