Mouth "bump"

Amber Waves Pygmy Goats Ivermectin

Posted by Frank on June 21, 2002 at 09:34:04:

I have a 2-3 year old nubian cross doe who is just about done weaning 3 kids. About three weeks ago I noticed a marble like swelling on the side of her mouth, just above the lip. I have been away for several weeks and I see now it has gotten bigger - it is now about 3/4" around. It is not an open sore ( at least on the outside ) and does not seem to bother her - she is eating fine. I did not look in her mouth yet - someone said I should be careful and wear rubber gloves before handling her mouth.

Any suggestions about what it might be, what I should do and do I need to worry about wearing gloves ?
Thanks
Frannk
