My first thoughts were CL as well but just above the lip I doubt it. Given the location I would lean more towards a secondary infection of some sort. Like a grub, thorn from what she may be eating or possible a punture wound that has gotten infected. And yes I too would recomend gloves. If you don't wear them be sure to wash your hands very well when you are done cleaning it out with something like an antibacteral soap. Also flush the wound out with Betadine in a syringe this is supposed to cautirize the wound and prevent further draining and fluid ooozing. You can also take the contents and have them checked out to see what the problem might be. It takes about 1cc of the contentes or 4 cc of blood. Of course if you do not know how to draw blood or havent got the stuff it's best to have a vet do it. Our vet is willing to take "bump stuff" in a syringe as long as she gets it within 24 hrs. Blood would need to be put in a sterial tube that the vets have. Sorry to be so long. Good luck keep us posted.
