Thank you so much for answering Gary..somehow I knew you would know what to do (smile).
Ok to start with, I have a bottle of Penicillin G in my refrig, we had it for the calf, it is called Combicillin-AG and unerneath it says
Penicillin G Benzathine And Penicillin G Procaine, would this be ok? And if it is, can you tell me the dosage?
So are you saying that the Naxcel would not be ok? I am not sure if we have any more LA 200 left which I know is not a broad spectrim, and the antibiotic you mentioned, is hard to get around here. I do have some antibiotic spray that we sprayed on her last night, which is the same spray we used on our calf that had a huge hole in her belly from being attacked by a dog, and she healed wonderfully.
I will also look into that petrolium jelly you spoke of, All we have here is a Co-Op and not sure if they even have it, if not can you suggest another place to get it? In the meantime, I am going to go and cover up that hole w/gauze and tape. She will probably try all day to get it off though (smile) The other one is a small hole, it is the big one I am really concerned about.
Last year we had one goat that we got that had a hole in the side of her face, we didn't keep her very long, but when we did have her, we did not have any problems with it. I am not sure how the hole got there, she came to us with it, and she was an adult goat.
Anyway I will try what you suggested..thank you thank you!! and if you do't mind giving me the dosages, I would greatly appreciate it.
I fell horrible about not posting that often, I have been here..just not enough time to breath. We are going to Fla in 3 weeks, and when we get back I think my life will be back to normal, or as close as possible (smile)
