i forgot if I mentioned it or not but last year Mike brought home a doe with a hole in the side of her face, and you could see her sinus's and everything else in there. I would have guessed she got into a fight w/another goat or something..I looked at her and thought the poor thing, and of course EWW (I am so squeemish) but she did not have a very nice personality which is why she probably got into a fight in the first place. so one day she really pissed me off and I said something to Mike about her and I refered to her as "ole crusty"..and the name stuck..LOL..WE didn't keep her very long, Mike didn't want to keep her because of the hole, and was afraid she would be high maintanence, I would have kept her if she was nicer, but she was soo mean!! I never came across a goat so mean.
Now Eris ..she is a sweety, although after this whole c-section labor thing, she has not been so willing to run up to you w/goat kisses etc..She is of course still tame and has a great personality..but I swear this whole thing did something to her! Now of course w/me bandaging her head and spraying that spray on her..she is definalty not liking me very well right now (smile)..An Ace Bandage is a good idea and I think I will try that when I go and change her bandage today. The tape sticks on when I put it up and down, but not across, and she is walking around w/the tape hanging off her the side of her head.
