Alot of people will say to get another goat, but I think he might do ok by himself. My first goat I had for a year before I got another goat and she did just fine.
As far as staying in the house, I had a doe that lived in the house for about 6 months, had her potty train in 1 month. I dont think that that is spoling him to much. It would help him get use to not having another goat as a friend.
