Gary, I don't think you should be offering links to sites that will not pay for advertising or banners (Jeffers, Hoeggers,etc.) This is a fabulous forum for anyone who has specialty products to reach a target audience.
This may be an extremely controversal suggestion but if it keeps the forum free.....sell our e-mail addresses. If you haven't been approached already I can probably find people who will pay good money for this list.I wouldn't mind getting goat or livestock related SPAM (heck I already get some)if it allows this to continue being free. The people who come here need help and we are certainly not the deep pockets-so get the money form the ones who do have deep pockets.
Put a discalimer on the site that e-mail addresses are sold (people can put 'safe' addresses on if they don't want their 'real' ones used. ) And please charge all those big-wig supply companies for the links. If they don't awant to pay they don't get. We can always send people there from the forum if they really need to go.
Plus I think publishing a book of Goat World wisdom is an excellent idea. Also get rid of archive questions. If someone is truly searching they will end up here anyway. OK off my soap box. BTW I would pay to see Sherry's porn site : )
