Thanks Maggie, A lot of people feed sunflowerseed here. But I wasn't sure about them, right now Bubba gets a scant handful of 14% sweet feed, formulated for horses. I only do that because he has eaten most everything in his pen. We also feed grass hay. Now when it gets colder and there is snow on the ground should I just up the hay. He is not too fat yet. But he also gets a lot of kitchen scraps, veggies, fruit, bread but not everyday. I also give him a seaweed supplement free choice . When we had goats in Missouri we grazed them year round because there was hardly ever snow but here is another story. So feeding a pet goat in winter has got me perplexed.
