So very sad O/T

For those of you who don't know my husband aka the goathater and I have two boys that are 7 and 5. Every nite goathater tucks them into bed even if they are already sleeping and don't know that he is doing it. They had moved a toybox in front of the bedroom door about a week or two ago, right after this recent rash of child abductions started. Normally I do not have the 6pm news on but it has been posted on every news flash and every news show here so the boys have seen it. Not once have they said anything about what was going on, normally they ask, at least they did about 911. Anyway tonite Andy asked why the box was in front of the bedroom door, are you ready for this? They said it was so nobody would steal them. Andy told them that he wouldn't let that happen, who knows what they thought about that. I can't believe the impact that this has had on them. Since this has started we now close our windows and lock them at nite. How right is that?!! It is bad enough to think that when you leave somebody could come in and take all you have worked so hard when you are gone. But to have nerve enough to come and take a child when you are sleeping just a few feet away is unthinkable. Sorry to be so off topic but this one really grinds me and I am not sure what to do about it but I had to blow steam to somebody who I knew would understand.
