I did a little research on the activated charcoal message. It seems that yes...activated charcoal is used in treatment for poisoning in goats and other livestock. It is given as 1-2gm/kg. Livestock Supply carries a product for poisoning that has the activated charcoal in it. I found it was most commonly given for treatment for poison oak, mountain laurel, and rhodedendron poisoning. But, I would think that it could be given for treatment after the ingestion of any poisonous substance. Just thought I'd let you guys know. It's a beautiful day here in upstate NY...low 70's and sunny. I'm off to a dairy festival. Have a great weekend.
