When our vet came out last summer when our goats got into the mountain laurel, he gave them two shots. One was to calm them down, for the pain, and the other I thought was a vitamine shot, (b 12) but I am not sure.
When I asked him if there was something that he could give them to absorb the poison he told me no not that he knew of (and they raise goats) He told me I would have to just let the poison run it's course, and it would all depend on how much each consumed. We were lucky and did not loose any of them, although it sure looked like we would loose atleast one, the vet agreed with me and didn't think he would make it, but he surprised all of us.
Now when the vet said that no there was nothing he knew of to give a goat to absorb the poison, he could have only ment for the mountain laurel, but that is not the impression I got. If I am wrong, please post to the board.
