Hi all,
THought someone in our group might have more knowledge about dogs and their afflictions than I. I have a Gr. Pyr. female, Lily. She is 15 months old. She developed I guess what is called a hot spot. I took her to the vet for her heartworm, vaccines, etc. and she put her on a cycle of prednisone to help her get over this. Then told me to wash it with betadine or just soap and water. Does anyone else have any dealings with these? My other dogs have been Dobermans and I have never had to deal with this. I don't know if it is because she has such a bunch of long thick hair or what. What a bother. She is such a sweet dog, I hope this doesn't recur a lot.
