lameness

Midwest Buck Sale Colostrum

Hi all! I haven't been here in a few months because my internet time has been limited lately due to work and enjoying the springtime weather and longer days to get some projects done outside. It's good to see the forum is still active and to read about everyone's successful kidding season! Love the baby pics!
Problem - My 4 yr old dwarf doe is lame on her right front. I can't see any injury, and she does tolerate us feeling her leg and hoof as we inspect for the cause of the mysterious lameness. She holds it out in front of her when she runs, but will take a few cautious steps on it at a walk. Doesn't affect her attitude or appetite.
What could cause this lameness? Are goats suceptible to absesses of the hoof, like horses? How should I treat it, if anything?
Thanks for any insight or ideas...I will check back later today for any responses.
