Does it feel like its tight and should be full of milk? Or does it feel like there are two pie tins on each half of the udder?
Was is full and tight since she freshened? This is the way my doe was.
I used Lasix injections and I can't remember how long or the dosage either. Sorry but if I don't use something all the time I lose it! The oxytocin I have heard of being used to help let down more milk in helping to treat mastitis, but not the edema.I had to also do warm packs on the doe several times a day and also milk her out three or so times a day. It seems like it lasted about 3-4 days. Is your other doe doing the same thing? My vet is off on Wednesdays, otherwise I would call her for you to find out the dosages. Your vet must not be a goat vet....how frustrating for you. Dalice
