Worming, and the does kid

Ok, Need to get myself prepaired here (smile)..I forgot, how soon after the does kid is it safe to worm them? I think last year I wormed all of my goats together when the kids were 3 weeks old, but I forgot..(my memory is really going these days).

Also, should I be worming the does that kid with a different wormer, than the rest? Not sure if we are going to milk Eris (our Lamancha) or not, for human consumption, but if we do, why do I remember someone saying that you can only worm with a specific wormer if you are milking for human cosumption? I really wanted to milk her, but we are not quite set up here yet to do that. But I do want to milk her so my son Wes can bottle feed the baby. I am so excited, because after Nick died this past year, Wes told me he didn't want any more goats for himself. I planned on buying him a kid this spring anyway, but he came in and asked me if he could have Eris's kid. Ugg the waiting though..LOL
