I have heard its good to worm the doe the day of kidding. THey are stressed and it is a good time for worms to celebrate and multiply like crazy when she is not in top shape to fight them off. If you think human consumption may occure use safegard or panacur. There is short milk holding time, like 24 hours. So if you worm while they are still producing colostrum you lose no time for drinking the milk. It does not hurt the kids to drink the milk from wormed does. I think regular time to worm kids is 4 weeks. I wormed with Ivomec some of my does because I got them from a place that had a bad worm problem. Then I had to wait 30 days to use the milk for humans. Although we are using all our milk at present for goat kids so it is not a problem. Dalice
