I've read on some other goat sites/e-groups that for fast rehydration on very sick animals, if you can get Lactated Ringers from either a pharmacy, or a vet, large quantites of this fluid can be administered to very sick dehydrated Suq-Cutaneously in various loose skin spots.. I'll try to find the website that had meantioned it. From what I hear, it can be a real lifesaver when you just can't get enough fluids in the poopin' kids.
I havn't ever had to use this, but I remembr when I was sick in the hospital, they hooked me up to rehydrate me. The vets do it too.. and if you can have this lifesaving tool avalable. let me go find some more info!
