I had a calf do the same thing this winter. I didn't realize he wasn't getting enough from his mama and then we had a cold snap and he crashed. I brought him in the kitchen. I think my down fall was giving him too much at a time because he wasn't used to having it and he scoured. Watch that you don't give him too much, I would think more frequent feedings of smaller amounts might do the trick. I used the tubing bag, it was slick to get the nutrition down him however.
