I feed pellets to all my goats, I use a pellet with ammonium chloride in it for my bucks to combat u. caluli. I feed a sweet feed to my does sometime, usually about 2 weeks before they freshen to 2 or three weeks after they freshen, seems like they like a little variety and the sweet molasses gives a little extra energy. Then I'll feed pasture hay. They like alfafa better but I just use this as a treat, usuallly uses cubes and break them up to keep them coming to me.It really doesn't matter what you feed just make any change gradually to give the microbes a chance to change in the stomach, if you make a sudden change in feed they may not be able to change that fast and you wind up with enterotoxemia (bloat). If nothing else just feed more grass hay and increase the prepared feed gradually.
