ok, if a rectal thermometer for humans is ok, Carmel's temperature is 104. He is urinating without any trouble and the only droppings I see are little marbles, not diarrhea. The more I watch him the more he acts like his front legs are bothering him. He had been one to run and jump and even dive across the porch. He doesn't want much of the bottle but I see him eating grass. I plan to go get the nutratrench and the CD/T tomorrow. I am beginning to think the man we bought him from isn't as knowledgable about goats as I thought. Since Carmel is past the 30 days will giving him the CD/T still be beneficial?
I want to do what's best for him. I sure appreciate all the help everyone is giving. My husband and I are providing a home for our 2 daughters (both single moms) and three grandchildren all under the age of 3. It is hard to run to the vet every time a pet is under the weather as we must watch every penny. We've always loved goats and thought it would be fun to raise them but when Carmel started acting funny I was afraid we may have made a mistake. When I found this website I knew I hadn't made a mistake!
