I band at about a week, same time I disbud. But I also have banded at 12 weeks or older, where I quite literally had to squeeze each testicle through one at a time, and it was a tight squeeze. I have also had a buck castrated at around 9 months, this was back before Boer, a gal bought him and wanted to use him for a wether. My vet clamped him, cut the bottom of the sack off, pulled the testicles out, scraped the cords, cut the rest of the sack off, then let go the clamp and sprayed furox until he stopped bleeding. Though this was one of those standing there with my mouth open gruesome things, the buck had no stress from this, no anesthetic, and was screaming at some doelings in the next pen in about 20 mintues. He also never even missed a meal! I think men are much more "tender hearted" about castration "you think :)" that women are. Vicki
