Vicki...you are so wonderful! I'm going to blame all the work my feed store owner has to do looking up new feed items on you! So, if some crotchety old man with a Southern accent calls you...
I'm going to try the US Alfalfa (probably come out better finding the Purina brand). I only feed alfalfa to the little ones as they don't have access to the pasture until they are older. The big girls get grass hay and are finally going to the pasture by themselves! (LOL! I don't have to play Heidi anymore.) They get the pellets when they're being milked. Sometimes they eat them, sometimes they don't. I figure they know when they need them!
Both feed stores in town now carry beet pulp, wheat bran and 50 lb. bags of baking soda because of yours truly...and they are selling to a LOT of people! Guess the general goat public in this area didn't know they could get it here! They're going to love this new way of feeding alfalfa!
