You got me on that one. I just feed the pellets. I tried the cubes once but had to pick them apart before the girls would (or could) eat them. Made my fingers SOOO sore! They eat the pellets or do without! Mine are also on grass hay and forage so I feed them a yogurt cup of pellets when I milk them. Sometimes they eat them and sometimes not. I figure if they need it they'll eat it, if not then I don't worry about it!
