Boer's are kind of an odd lot right now. The market reminds me alot of when people were getting into raising ostrichs. Seems the only people who made money made it in the beginning selling breeding stock but the market for the meat never developed.

But all in all can you get a good goat at an auction? I have shied way from them because I really want a good history and good look at the animal. Plus I rely on the breeders I've dealt with to guide me to good stock.
