Minerals
I like to keep out the loose minerals but one day a week is treat day around here. I put out one trace mineral brick, I think my goats would find a way to climb on top of their house to get it. They eat the loose really well but go nuts over the brick. For the loose I use a home made feeder made from PVC pipe. It has amazed me how few nannie berries get in it. In addition to browse I think the minerals and baking soda can do more for our goats health than anything. They can do without a lot of feed when not in milk but you will see a big change in them if they aren't provided with soda and minerals.
