Hi Gang!
Okay, a quick question for all of you Pat Coleby fans. I just love her book, Natural Goat Care, and consult it all the time. However, I do question one item I read. She says that a first freshener who has kidded around 14 months must be milked through the second year instead of being bred again.
I don't necessarily think this is a bad piece of advice. In fact, it seems fairly sound. But naturally, I would prefer to breed my doe again this year. I was wondering what most of you do in your own breeding programs.
Thanks for any advice!
Leah
