You just shave the opposite direction the hair grows, leave a tuft a hair at the end of the tail, then take sizzors and cut the hair square at the end. You can use a guard that perhaps leaves 1/2 inch of hair on her, we just slick ours off. And yes their are folks around who do this type of herd management for you, email me if you are in East Texas. Otherwise find a goatgroup and ask an older 4H kid!
Be carefull when bathing, after you have rinsed, rinse somemore, and a rinse with vinegar and water is good also. Shampoo or cremerinse left in the hair will make her itch worse.
You may also want to increase the fat/oils in her diet, how about a cup of black oil sunflowerseeds each day. You can buy them at a Tractor Supply or Wallmart. They love them, and helps them keep really nice sleek coats. Vicki
