Hi Sandy: I'd advise getting some Terramycin ointment from your vet or one of the supply houses and while securing your goat, pull down the lower lid and squirt in a small amount of it. Try not to touch the tube to the eye, and a little ointment goes a long way. Use gloves or wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. This is a good broad-spectrum opthamolic ointment and it's inexpensive...a good thing to keep on hand. Repeat the treatment twice daily for several days. It could be the start of pink eye, or just some form of conjunctivitis from foreign matter being lodged in it, or from an allergy to something, or an inverted eyelid/eyelash... hard to say. If the terramycin doesn't help clear it up, then I'd suggest a vet see her for a professional opinion. :)patty
