Hi Kali-We started in cashmeres. They are beautiful animals. Ours are all white and they are quite a bit smaller than the Alpines. Very hardy. Ours were raised out on the plains so they are still abit skittish about being handled. We comb ours out in the spring and I am learning to spin. There is not much of a market for domestic cashmere (yet)Ours are great weedeaters and I have several cattle men on a list for welters next spring to help control weeds in their feedlots.
