I really know how you feel. although i personally don't have the problem, my husband does from time to time. he is so stubborn about going to the dr at times. Guess most men are though *grin* You might find some help for your situation with the hands at the 7mherbal farm site, the addy is http://www.7mfarm.com
I raise alpines and almost relocated to maine or new Hampshire last winter. i had a offer form a educational testing company there, they even flew me up there from VA. I declined as it was way to political and too much travel. its beautiful there.
I have not raised chashmires or know of any one who does. my best friend raised angoras. i don't know too much about cashmires but i bet someone here does. good luck. take care.
