"Kidding Pictures (1 of 1)"

Here's a picture of 2 of the quads....Mindy and Lindy! I sold the other two babies to a neighbor of mine that will take very good care of them. All four were just wearing me and their mama out! Even though I was supplementing them, they were all together and would just wear their mama down...she would actually hide from them just for some peace! I knew it was time to get two off of her when I couldn't find her one day...she was hiding behind one of the sheds...the look on her face when I found her was something like... "ah, whadja have to go and give away my hiding spot for, I was finally getting some rest"....kind of look! These two are doing great, and mama is much happier!

This would be Mindy....she was the second of the quads born....she was just a bit bigger than Windy! She has the cutest face of them all!

All four are there, trying to get a teat! Snickers is so patient....I'm truly amazed by her, didn't know if she would be. I have other does that would not have put up with this.

This is Windy....she was the first of the quads to be born....and the smallest! She weighed maybe 3 to 3.5lbs when born.

This is Snickers before she kidded....probably about 2 weeks before kidding or so. This is a better picture though, or what she looks like. I wish I knew what her breeding was....I'm thinking Alpine crossed with either Togg, or possibly Nubian. She isn't a tall goat, more short and stocky....very deep through the girth and belly....which reminds me of Alpines. She sure can carry multiples well though, and she is a great mama!

These are percentage Boer kids...not sure what percentage though, the dad is 3/4 Boer and 1/4 Saanen. Not sure whan mama is...probably part Alpine. Three doelings, one buckling!

Snickers is taking a little break! What does she look like to you? Snickers I mean? Doesn't she look like she has kind of an Alpine head?

That is a Silkie hen the doe is using for a pillow. The little doe is 2 weeks old and she and that hen sleep together nearly every night.

I told my daughter to teach the kids to ride the pony, but when she sent me her pictures, I found she had the wrong kids!!! Cocoa (the Kid) loves to ride Sissy (the horse) all over the pasture. It looks so funny when Sissy is in tall grass, it looks like the goat is floating in the air.
