If the mineral is a block she may not be able to eat enough of the block to get what she needs. Goats don't use blocks well even if they lick them all the time. Check the amount of copper in the minerals. If they are labeled for sheep and goats they do not have enough copper. And as Barbara said it could be lice... Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Lack of hair or sparce hair around the eye or faded hair around the eye usually points to copper deficiency if the eye looks fine and is not weeping. Does she have access to a loose mineral with at least 900 to 1500 ppm copper? Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Hi,this could be what we call ghost rings which is low copper. Or it could be lice have you treated for lice

I have a Boer cross nanny loosing hair around one of her eyes. She acts as she feels fine. What gives? |
