Congrats! In my herd birthing is often a family affair with a close friend or the grandma goat closeby for comfort. Family groups seem to stay bonded to each other most often sleeping together around the barn. Goats are very strongly herd oriented, the now mothers will often introduce the kids around so they know their herd and the herd knows them. All herd members will protect new kids to a great degree. My girl finally had her babies yesterday! YEAH!A beautiful doe and a very handsome buck. She went totally unassisted thank the Lord-she was so big we were worried about triplets. Wonderful mom! The other doe we purchased with Jenna lost her baby in early pregnancy was always with Jenna-laid by her side for days. I was surprised Jenna let her near the babies though, had no problem with it at all-they must be pretty close. Anyway Angel just started hopping and jumping ALL over. She seemed so excited for Jenna. It was so cute. We moved Jenna to a private pen last night. Angel must have really missed her-literally had to wake her up this morning by rubbing her for a good 30 seconds to get her to wake up. Mom and babies seem to be doing great! Cindy
