I always treat. I find the best treatment is to use the triple antibiotic eyeointment once or twice a day and give oxytetracycline (LA 200, Biomycin 200, or Agrimycin 200) once a day at 1 cc per 30 pounds until the eyes are clear (yes it is okay to give this to kids for a short term course of up to 10 days). Helps to prevent a secondary infection which can really complicate things. Usually the eyes are clear in 1 to 3 days. Nip it in the bud now. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic
