Is he responding to treatment? You might try alfalfa pellets or hay, offer his regular grain at ths point, he needs to eat, some goats like an oatmeal gruel (thin oatmeal just like you would make for people). You can also mix up a batch of Magic (1 part molasses, 1 part vegetable oil, 2 parts karo syrup with a bit of warm water to thin it out some) give 1 to 3 ounces with a turkey baster or big syringe 2 to 3 times a day. |

Is there something I can force feed him until he's well enough to eat on his own? It's been since at least Sunday, that he hasn't been eating... (Thurs now). Or maybe something more tempting than his hay, that's still good for him? Nothing grain based... for fear of making it worse. } (He's being treated for listeriosis and goat polio already). |
