That's a good idea. I was thinking that getting out and moving around would be good for her. She did pass the placenta, although I wasn't there to make sure it all came out, I have to take my husband's word for it. Again, walking and moving around might be the best thing for her, no matter what.

Did she pass the placenta? If so she is likely done. She may be a bit bruised from the kids shoulders coming through the cervix all "pointy". My pygmies often deliver with just the head presented and it can be quite a pull to deliver the kid. The doe is usually a bit sore the day after. If you have banamine give that at 1 cc per 100 pounds by SQ injection. Or you can give Liquid Children's Motrin at 1 cc per 10 pounds every 4 to 6 hours for pain. If she is still penned up in a small pen let her and the kids out for a while to walk around and jump and play. This will help her feel more normal and will stimulate the kids.

It's always the best does - My girl kidded yesterday, twins. Both came out with one leg back and needed a little assistance, but she's a big roomy doe and took it in stride. That same evening, after she passed the afterbirth, she still seemed big and was in pain. I tried not to panic, but this morning she still looks very big to me, and she isn't acting quite right. She's still eating, drinking, pooping, but she's not her usual friendly self and she acts depressed. The kids are nursing, but not very vigorously. Their tummies seem full when I check though, and they seem to be acting normally.
As soon as I can get my husband to help, I'm going to see if I can feel inside, but now that it's been 24 hours, I don't know how much good that will do. Any suggestions?
Sandi
