I have a doe who may possably have kids before due date. If they live, how or what would I do to take care of primie kids?? Or just let mom do all the work. "S"

Premie kids can seldom stand and nurse on their own. You may be able to bottle feed but will likely have to tube feed. They do not regulate their body temperature well, but a heating pad can cause them to become very dehydrated, especially since they may not be able to move off of it. Their lungs will be poorly developed, you can get steroids from your vet to help with this. Be prepared to milk out the colostrum. Although the doe may not have any or it may not be any good. keep us posted.
