I would say if he is still okay tomorrow then he should be fine. Most of the time it is tha amount eaten that can make the most difference. I bet he didn't eat near as much.

My whether ate some as well but appears healthy, though sad for losing his bunk mate. Seems very depressed. Had the vet check him out today and temp and stomach and heart rate were all good. How long til I am out of the woods with him? How long can this stuff stay in his system? They did give him activated charcol. I feel like sleeping out there with him!
Thanks<

Yes avocado leaves are poisonous, the symptoms she died from are indicative of avocado poisoning. The leaves are especially toxic. Mnay ornamental and fruit trees can be very toxic to goats. So sorry for your loss.

Had one of my African Pigmy Goats die in my arms last night. She was down when I heard her brother calling for help and slowly stopped breathing. I breathed for her and did chest compressions and she came back only for a minute. No apparant trauma or injuries. Had heavy winds the previous few days and some Avocado Tree Branches got blown into their pen. They both had eaten the leaves but none were eaten on the day she died. She was fine when we went to bed but died at 3:00 in the morning. I am worried about the wether but he seems healthy. Sad and stressed but healthy. Any ideas if Avacado leaves could kill her?
