Perhaps a chest xray would help. Some goats get a growth on their lungs something like cancer. As the tumor becomes bigger they have less lung capacity. It is not that uncommon. Have your vet check it out. Have you ruled out lungworms or other internal parasites? She could be so anemic from worms her blood doesn't carry enough oxygen and so she pants... Hi, I have a Nubian doe who is approx. 8 years old that has been acting funny for about a month and a half. She is panting, and she isn't very interested in her feed, wich is very unusual for this goat. I have had a vet look at her, and she wasn't sure what it is. Any ideas of what this could possibly be and treatment for it would be extremely appreciated. I love this goat dearly. Thanks, Katherine |
