Biomycin 200 is the same as LA 200, just a different brand. So is Agrimycin 200.... Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Will biomycin work instead of LA 200? What is the doseage? She was bred to the same buck after she aborted the first time. However, last year she was bred to a different buck and had a good pregnancy. |

A chronic uterine infection could be causing it. Try treating with daily injections of LA 200 for 10 days and wait at least 1 month from this abortion to give her at least one cycle to finish cleaning out. Was she bred to the same buck? iIt doesn't happen often but sometimes the doe will be "allergic" to the fetuses and abort them (I've only had 2 like this). Can you try a different buck next time? I have a doe who was bred in October. She aborted in November. I bred her again the end of December. I went out to the barn today and there was fresh blood on her tail and on the backs of her legs. I'm assuming this was an abortion. Is there anything I should do for her? What could be causing this? |
