The Kinder association does not accept this cross. It must be a registered Nubian Doe to a registered Pygmy Buck. Otherwise all you have is a scrub goat, a mutt. You can call them whatever you want but in the end that's what you have a crossbred of questionable parentage. I know this one doe did fine, but most pygmy does DO NOT do fine bred to a standard breed. And to tell the truth, most "pygmies" out there are not purebreds themselves...Does this one that was bred to a boer have registration papers? To get to the next generations (F1, F2, F3) you breed the first generation crosses to other first, second or third generation goats. Two first generation goats bred to each other makes a second generation, these can be used to breed to other first or second generation goats. Starting a breed from scratch is not an easy task, you have to either have access to an established herd or be able to spend the money to transport goats from other regions. If you still decide to go ahead, line up a vet willing to do a c-section. I long ago decided to concentrate on ONE breed and do it very well. I have not been sorry. Hi (SORRY I WOULD HAVE PUT THIS UNDER NON-EMERGENCIES BUT IT WON'T WORK AND I CAN ONLY REPELY TO EMERGENCIES!!) I would like to start up the breed Kinder in New Brunswick but don't know how to get 2 and 3 genetions of Kinders. And I also don't know where to buy bucks i own 3 pure bred Nubians and have a nubian buck and show all kids and need to sell most of all the kids and can't not breed pure bred nubian. I have friends who just wanted to freshen does so they let boers mix with dairy does and sold the kids. But there pigmy got bred and had a great kidding and she is doing great. so i wanted to tack down a pigmy doe and breed with her. I would buy her breed with nubian and i know every one says no but i can't keep 2 bucks and if i only had 1 doe and no bucks and can't breed with nubian it would be over 4 hours to drive any one with any good thoughts?
