I wanted to remind you all to watch out for recluse or fiddle back spiders! They love the dry wood in the barn. If your not sure you have them, set out glue traps. For some reason they are attracted to dead bugs so leave the trap out and they will keep coming. I got bitten on my lower calf back in October and am still fighting infection. I spent 6 days in the hospital after a surgery. I am now on a wound vaccume system and restricted from walking with the exception of a trip to the bathroom. Please be carefull and keep out those glue traps I dont want anyone else going thru this. If you do get bit the best advice is to get to the doctor right away, if he doesnt put you on a strong antibiotic find one that will. There is a vast aray of opinions about treatment since everyones body acts differently to the toxin. I hope if you do happen to get bit you find a doctor that knows what he is doing, and not have the luck I have had.
