If she is in good flesh and eating well she is fine. Kids could be doing acrobatics and hormones could be making her grumpy. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

No pinkeye. Or no swollen legs, and has a steady gait. Just looks like she is crying and does the grinding of her teeth. Confusing I read about Ketosis and did not see her having this. But I wondered if being preg. the kids were taking more than she is getting in. Maybe some calcium unitl the Alfalfa kicks in? She have only been getting a small amount of Alfalfa for two days now. Maggie thanks again for your help you do give all of us. Deb http://www.geocities.com/boergoat6/

Goats don't cry like humans. Check to see if she has pinkeye, the membranes will be slightly swollen and very red, Her eyes will be painful to touch. This doesn' s sound like ketosis. Does with ketosis usually lose their appetite, go down, are sometimes swollen in the legs. Does she walk with a steady gait? Sometimes a goats with mild ketosis will be unsteady at first, especially in the rear legs. If treating ketosis you also need to give calcium as it is really a calcium deficency that brings the ketosis on. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

I have a preg Doeling that always grinds her teeth during her pregnancy. I was curious if giving her Propylene Glycol would be a good idea. I just started the herd on Alfalfa all are due in Feb of 2007. She looks like she has tears from the pain. She is not acting sick, and is eating well. Worms are under control for her. Just can not seem to find anything wrong with her. Other than the tears and grinding of teeth. ????????? Help Deb http://www.geocities.com/boergoat6/
