I am having problems posting the picture, In case it doesn't work again heres the rest of the info. The fence is 4 ft high. The wood slats are wired together and the slats are about an inch apart. I have pounded the slats into the ground when needed. So far this fence has been predator proof. My dogs, including the wiggly puppy, cannot get in. We recently had a coyote pack in our neighborhood and we had no problems, but some of my neighbors did. I like it because I can easily re-inforce as needed, if the goats lean on it too much, and it is easy to move. } |

Great idea! Pygmies aren't big jumpers and this would work great. How tall is it? Keeping dogs and other predators out is a big thing too, just as important as keeping goats in. Can you post a picture? Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Just thought I would share my fencing solution- right after I got my pygmys I was given a few rolls of wood-slat snow fencing. It has worked out great! They like to rub against it but in almost 2 years there haven't been any breaks or escapes! Seems that around here there is always someone getting rid of snow fence. Our township gave it away when they changed to a plastic snow roll.We wired the fence onto t-posts. I am really thankful I have found this site! I have learned so much from you all! |
