They will also continue to grow in their winter coat. The sweatshirt idea is a good one.

We have a yearling doe and buck (boers) that we lent to a family for their kids to show in 4-h and a livestock show. They came back to us yesterday shaved down almost completely. So, my question is, with winter coming, will these guys be able to survive? Or do I need to get them a coat or something? They have a small shed they can go into and we have heating pallets that we put in there, but obviously they have to come out at some point. We live in Texas where it gets about in the teens on a bad night, and days are usually above freezing, but anyone who has been to texas knows that can change any time it feels like it. Thanks!
