The same bacteria that causes pinkeye can cause abortions if it infects the uterus. It doesn't usually infect both the eyes and the uterus at the same time. I don't believe you have a problem. Chlamydia causes late term abortions like 3 weeks before the due date, and a pinkeye infection in the herd at that time might be more of a concern.

I have 2 pygmy does that recently had pinkeye, they are both pregnant. I read somewhere that this could cause them to abort, is this true? If so is there anything I can do? One of them is due to kid late January early February the other is due to kid on or around February 8. Thanks
