When I went out this morning to feed them everything looked fine. Probably the change in hay like you said. I'd rather check right away rather than wait too long if it is something that I should be worried about. Thanks again Maggie! PS - Regarding the whole leaf thing... I've been laying off of giving them the leaves. When they get the leaves they sit there and cry and cry whenever they run out. This goes on for days. I don't know what to do. I know that they love them so I want to give them some but I can't listen to them cry anymore. They cry so much it sounds like they are going to loose their voice. As you can tell they are spoiled rotten and are used to getting what they want! |

Sometimes a change in hay will make the stool a bit clumpy. Or maybe he has been eating more leaves and such. He is probably fine. You could have a vet do a fecal exam on him and his herdmates to check... Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

BTW - I brought him home 09/10/06 and wormed then and again on 09/24/06 with Ivermectin injectible (given orally). I haven't wormed again since then. |

I've noticed that one of my whether has clumped stool. No temp, eating fine, drinking water and acting normal. I checked his inner eye lids and they are a rosey pink. Other than the stool nothing unusual with him. The only other change is we just got new hay that is a little grassier than our last bunch but they normally only ate the grassy part of the old hay anyways. My other two whethers stool is fine. Should I wait another day or two to see how he is? The only other thing I was thinking is I should deworm him? Any suggestions? |
