His temperature is 102.4 I gave him some baking soda in water and he immediately began to wretch and try to vomit. I gave him some olive oil (15cc). The scours is lessening and it appears to have more consistency. I gave him a shot of banamine. Should I give him the penicillin and the CD antitoxin? I am so scared that I am upsetting his system. What about probiotics? And when should this be given.

Don't have Polyserum, but do have Banamine. Will this irritate his stomach?

I would also give him 8CC of Polyserum to boost his immune system along with CD ANTI-toxin and Probiosis.
Baking soda 1 tablespoon in 1 cup of water would be good also .
If you have Banamine give 1cc/100 lbs given sq for pain.

What will an elevated temperature be indicative of? Will it change the treatment?

The bottle should give a therapeutic dose or give twice the prophylactic dose. You can not over dose. Fiasco Farm recommends 10 to 15 cc 3 times a day.

Maggie,
Thank you. I'll go give him 7.5 cc Penicillin SQ. How much CD antitoxin should I give him?

Likely he has bloat, acidosis or even enterotoxemia. This is from the sudden change to a lush green pasture. First check for blaot and treat him with oil if his belly is tight. He needs to burp up the excess gas.

Getting a temp on him, starting him on pencillin and giving CD antitoxin may help. The diarrhea is his body's way of trying to clear the offending stuff out of his intestines. Pepto bismol or baking soda may help. The dark yellow urine is a sign of dehydration, you may want to drench with water or electrolytes.

I found one of my dear beloved bucks, Bulldog in the barn alone standing on a hay bale. This is very unusual behavior for him. He is exhibiting a pea green thick scours. Once in awhile he'll grind his teeth. He will not touch grain, eat hay, and will drink a little water. His urine is a dark yellow, but he was able to urinate freely. His eye color is a healthy salmon pink. I just gave him his annual CD&T vaccine on the 13th. We just had a heavy rain which has turned everything a lush green. He first scoured 3 days ago, I gave him scourhalt and he cleared. Acted normal, pushy for grain and wanting treats and lots of attention. Today, as I said, he is aloof, by himself. He just doesn't feel good.
Tonight, I gave him scourhalt 6cc and 6cc of Vitamin B complex SQ (thinking it couldn't hurt and it might help). I put water and a fresh bale of hay in the building where he is. He weighs 150 lbs.
Don't know what to do for him. I don't know what I'm dealing with. Please advise. Thanks
